Over the years, UCCLA has published or helped distribute books that provide students, the media, government and others with information about our perspectives on issues ranging from redressing historical injustices to bringing war criminals to justice. Ukrainian Internment in Canada

Ukrainians and other Europeans were unjustly branded as enemy aliens during Canada's first national internment operations of 1914 to 1920.

Millions of Ukrainians perished in the genocidal Great Famine of 1932 - 1933 in Soviet Ukraine.

Cpl Filip Konowal

Corporal Filip Konowal is the only Ukrainian Canadian ever distinguished with a Victoria Cross.

War Crimes

Any person found in Canada who is accused of being a war criminal regardless of that person’s ethnic, religious or racial identity or the period or place where they allegedly committed war crimes should be brought to trail in a Canadian criminal court of law.
